Google Maps API

I just started reading the Google Maps Javascript API Cookbook (by Alper Dincer and Balkan Uraz) to help me with some work I’m doing on the maps on a website for a friend of mine. I’ve been pleasantly surprised about the amount of things you can customize and do to the maps you display on your websites once you have an API key. You can change the color of the land, water, roads, you can overlay pictures, and other maps. It’s really interesting. If you need to do something with google maps and aren’t sure where to start, this is a great book to pick up.
