You The Designer

There is some really good information here. I am looking forward to looking around this website some more.

Joseph Campbell Foundation

If you are at all interested in mythology or storytelling, this is a good place to start.

Transmedia storytelling

This is a link to Wikipedia for transmedia storytelling. This is what I am most interested in outside of mythology and website development, both of which can be a part of transmedia. If you are at all interested in storytelling and advertising, this is likely the way things are going in the future. Another book you can look into reading on the subject is A Creator’s Guide to Transmedia Storytelling by Andrea Phillips, it is a great introduction to the terminology and gives you some tips and pointers on how to use it in your advertising, media, and storytelling projects.

Storytelling and mythology

I am currently reading Primitive Mythology by Joseph Campbell. This is the first book in his The Masks of God series. At first I thought it was going to be a very dull series to read, but if you are at all interested in mythology you really should get this book, and start reading. It’s really neat to see the parallel’s he draws between the mythologies of what I have always thought of as vastly different cultures, and knowing he published these books in 1959 makes them even more amazing to me. If you would like to know more about the series please let me know I will do my best to describe it.
